Famous Ukrainian coach Oleg Fedorchuk told who he likes among the coaches working in the first league.
— It may sound strange, but the playing style of the most famous first league coach — Patrick van Leeuwen, who trains “Metalist 1925”, does not appeal to me. I expected more progress in the game of the Kharkiv team with his arrival.
Instead, I like how Serhiy Nahorniak works with “Epicenter”. When he combined two jobs while still being part of the coaching staff of the U-19 youth national team of Ukraine, I thought it was not very right, but… Now he is focused on club work and delivers good results.
I also appreciate how Andriy Anishchenko works with “Metalist”, despite the fact that this Kharkiv team is not doing as well now as it did ten years ago. Yuriy Virt is a handsome guy, he pulled the Ternopil “Niva” out of a psychological pit.
Also, I would highlight the coach of “Agrobusiness” Oleksandr Chyzhievskyi. He once played for me, I respected him very much as a player, and now also as a coach. He is such a thoughtful, intelligent coach. Even having almost modest resources (the funding of the team from Volochysk is not as good as that of “Metalist 1925”, that is for sure), “Agrobusiness” still has real chances for promotion to the UPL. And as for the selection of players in “Agrobusiness”… Well, who are the famous footballers there? As far as I know, there are only 23 players in the team. Except for goalkeeper Roman Pidkivka and forward Maksym Voytikhovskyi, who at one time played as a defender, he was a holding midfielder.
Moreover, not the coach personally, but rather the whole team, I really sympathize with YKSA. There are a lot of Brazilians. They signed Romarinho, the son of the legendary Romario. I think this is a classic case when nature took a break at a genius’s child, — quoting Fedorchuk, “Ukrainian Football”.
