“Fenerbahçe” continues to uphold its position regarding the scandalous situation that occurred in the cup derby against “Galatasaray”. The “Canaries” made a statement on the official club website, clearly indicating that they do not trust the local football management:

Our expectations from the match we will play against “Trabzonspor” this weekend are clear— we will not allow our team to be handicapped by decisions, as it was in the last derby against “Galatasaray”. The winner should be determined through fair play. We are fully convinced that as soon as equal conditions for all participants are met, “Fenerbahçe” will continue to resolutely pursue the path to the championship.
That our opponent has a similar position on administrative issues shows how justified and widespread our request is. We clearly express our position to ensure fairness. Our sporting director has made his statements about the referees both after winning matches and after losing ones, thereby demonstrating his impartiality.
We would like to reiterate that “Fenerbahçe” is always on the side of fairness. Our club never compromises its principles for momentary interests,” says the official statement of the Istanbul club.
