The International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) published its version of the world goalkeeper ranking based on performances over the past year (from 31.03.2024 to 31.03.2025).
The ranking was based on three parameters: the sporting level of matches, results (points per match), and the deviation of save percentages from the expected value.
As a result, at the top of the ranking was Gianluigi Donnarumma from French PSG with an index of 95.5. The second place was taken by Jan Sommer from Italian Inter (91.7), and in the third place was Thibaut Courtois from Madrid Real (88.1).
There was also a place in this ranking for a representative of Ukraine: former goalkeeper of Kyiv Dynamo Georgiy Bushchan, who now plays for Saudi Al-Shabab, ranked 41st with an index of 73.6.
