Mohamed Salah turned down half a billion in Saudi Arabia

Recently, the saga regarding the contract extension between Liverpool and the club’s top scorer Mohamed Salah has come to an end.

The 32-year-old Egyptian rejected offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia, which proposed the player a staggering 500 million for the deal and decided to stay with the English club for another 2 years. The main reason for this decision was Salah’s desire to break all possible scoring records, reported journalist James Pearce from The Athletic.

Mohamed wants to at least catch up with Harry Kane, who scored 213 goals in the EPL, and then aim for Alan Shearer’s eternal record. The Newcastle and Blackburn legend netted 260 goals in the English league, while Salah currently has 184 accurate shots.
