The former head coach of “Zarya” and “Minai” Zhelko Lyubenovich admitted his love for Ukraine.
“I am currently in my native Belgrade. I am following the Ukrainian championship online. At the moment, I am free and open to offers.
The last time I was in Ukraine was in late February — in Kyiv for a friend’s birthday. During that time, I managed to attend two matches: “Obolon” — “Vorskla” and “Dynamo” — “Karpaty”.
Since then, I have not been to Ukraine. But I have already started to miss it. Ukraine is a second homeland for me. In this country, I became a footballer, I experienced unique emotions from coaching. I watch with pain the events happening on Ukrainian soil. I wish for the horrors of war to end as soon as possible and for peace to return to Ukraine,” — Lyubenovich’s words are quoted by “Sport.ua”.
