Viktor Vatsko: “Right now Yarmolenko shows how important experience is in the championship battle.”

Commentator and journalist Viktor Vatsko shared his thoughts on the match between “Kryvbas” and “Dynamo” in the 24th round of the Ukrainian championship.

— Do you know what impressed me about “Dynamo”? Efficiency. They didn’t create much, played rather blandly in attack. In the first half, they had two shots on goal — one goal. In the second half, three shots on goal — one goal. Simply insane rationality!

One could say that Popov’s red card affected the game, but I really liked how Shovkovskiy reacted to this ejection: he substituted Yarmolenko and Buyalsky, moved Vanat to the right winger position, and brought on Braza as a physical holding midfielder who is good at disrupting play. Shaparenko acted like a false nine. At the same time, he did a lot of work, helping his defensive midfielders during defense.

And one more person in “Dynamo” should be noted — it’s Andriy Yarmolenko. I wouldn’t say that he had a top match against “Kryvbas,” it wasn’t a strong match for Andriy, but his goal in the first half undoubtedly gave “Dynamo” a very, very important advantage. Right now, in the crucial phase of the season, Yarmolenko shows how important experience is for the team in the championship battle. He has decisive actions in three consecutive matches — and in three consecutive matches “Dynamo” wins, — said Vatsko on the YouTube channel “Vatsko Live.”
