Today’s date has gifted the world several well-known individuals who have closely linked their lives with football:
Vasiliy Turyanchik (1935-2022) — former defender. Most of Turyanchik’s career was spent at Kyiv’s Dynamo. Four-time champion of the USSR and two-time holder of the USSR Cup. After ending his playing career, he worked as the head coach of Uzhhorod’s “Zakarpattya” and “Hoverla”, as well as Mukachevo’s “Keramik” and “Karpaty”. The heart of the legendary FC “Dynamo” Kyiv defender Vasiliy Turyanchik, who played in the late 1950s – 1960s, stopped on March 31, 2022.
Sergey Puchkov (1962) — former Ukrainian footballer who played as a defender. Known for his performances for “Dnipro”. Champion of the USSR and holder of the USSR Cup. After retiring from playing, he became a football coach.
Nazariy Fedorivskyi (1996) — Ukrainian footballer, goalkeeper of the football club “Obolon”.
Stefano Fiore (1975) — Italian midfielder who has retired. Two-time holder of the UEFA Cup. Played 38 matches for the Italy national team, scored 2 goals. European vice-champion in 2000.
