After initial negotiations between the Citizens and the Portuguese national team goalkeeper, the player’s agent Jorge Mendes was given the green light to work on the upcoming transfer. Manchester City plans to activate the release clause in the 25-year-old player’s contract, which is 75 million euros.

Last summer, Manchester City’s first-choice goalkeeper Ederson was close to moving to one of the clubs in Saudi Arabia, but he ended up staying in England. Now the departure of the Brazilian seems more likely.
