Andriy Yarmolenko: "Assessment of the season? There is nothing to talk about yet."

The midfielder of Kyiv’s «Dynamo» Andriy Yarmolenko commented on his team’s victory over the Chernivtsi «Bukovyna» (4:1) in the semi-final match of the Ukrainian Cup on the YouTube channel «PROFUTBOL Digital».

— We needed to open up more in attack, because the opponent played very compactly, their defense was very high, and we needed to make more runs behind the back. In the second half, we managed to do that, and that’s how we scored four goals.

Now — a match against «Shakhtar» in the Ukrainian championship. Games with this team are always significant for us. But we will set ourselves up, just like for every game in the championship or the Cup. It will be an interesting game.

— How do you respond to the statements of representatives of «Shakhtar» and «Oleksandriya» that «Dynamo» is essentially the champion?

— To be honest, I don’t watch or read what others say. We have our own tasks for the championship and the Cup, and we perform our work.

— How do you assess this season for «Dynamo»?

— There is nothing to talk about yet. There are still five rounds ahead in the championship, and nothing has been decided yet. We will summarize after the last round.
