Later, Yarmolenko scored once in each of the matches against “Shakhtar” in the 2012/2013 season (he was the only scorer for the Kyiv team, which lost both matches), and also scored a brace in the 2016/2017 season, netting the winning goal in the game (the Kyiv team defeated “Shakhtar” in Kharkiv with a score of 3:2).

Yarmolenko also scored against “Shakhtar” in the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup in the 2011/2012 season (Dynamo lost that match 2:3).
