In a scandal in Brazil, former midfielder of Kyiv’s «Dynamo» Dudu, who currently plays for «Cruzeiro», found himself in trouble.
The 33-year-old footballer expressed public dissatisfaction with his substitution in a recent match against Chilean «Palestino» (3:1) in the South American Cup, as well as the fact that he has recently lost his place in the starting lineup of his team (before the mentioned game with «Palestino», Dudu was on the bench three times in a row).
“I don’t really like being a substitute. It’s bad when you’ve been in the starting lineup your whole life, and then they start taking you out of it. I don’t know why the coach made such a decision regarding me,” said Dudu.
The reaction of the head coach of «Cruzeiro», Leonardo Jardim, was swift: as reported by Central da Toca, he suspended Dudu from today’s match of the Brazilian championship against «Vasco da Gama», and the publication doubts that this will be a one-time sanction.
Additionally, Dudu is a product of «Cruzeiro». He returned to his home club last summer as a free agent, which he obtained after leaving «Palmeiras».
