The midfielder of Kyiv’s Dynamo Alexander Pihalenok recalled the confrontation with Belgrade’s “Partizan” (6:2, 3:0) in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League this season.

“To be honest, we approached the match against ‘Partizan’ as if it was the final. Even in theory. Everywhere! The game against the Serbs, they went to Moscow for a friendly tournament. It all added pressure.
But we accepted the victory in the first match absolutely calmly—we understood that there was a second match, and playing away is always difficult. When we eventually passed ‘Partizan’ with an aggregate score of 9:2, everything in the team was also calm: we needed to prepare for the upcoming matches.
Let’s not talk about them again! We won’t discuss them any longer,” said Pihalenok on the YouTube channel “SportArena”.
