Ukrainian boxer, world champion in versions WBC, WBO, WBA and IBO in heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk shared that he will maintain his physical shape even after the end of his professional career.
“Even when my career ends, I will always practice boxing and train. I need to keep myself in good shape. For 23 years I have been only doing boxing, no football, judo, or anything else. I don’t drink, don’t smoke, and don’t go to clubs, so if I didn’t train, I’d probably just break things at home and annoy my wife even more.
For example, Ronaldo was a great player — not Cristiano, but that Brazilian — but when he ended his career, he got fat. He was very fast, good at dribbling, and skinny, but when he stopped playing football and sports, he gained weight. He stopped training and lost his physical shape. I don’t want that, I want to live a long life and create Ukrainian boxing schools and teams,” Usyk said, as quoted by Daily Mirror.
