Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher predicts successful performances from Newcastle in the upcoming season of the English Championship.
"I think Manchester City and Arsenal will compete with Liverpool. City will enter the transfer market again, and Arsenal will do the same.
As for the other teams, Newcastle may create a surprise. If they keep their best players and add one or two, they will be a top-level team. From the League Cup final against Liverpool, we saw that they can beat anyone. They have great home support, and in some positions – especially in the center of attack and central midfield – they are unmatched in the Premier League," Carragher is quoted by the Daily Mirror.
