The Brazilian Football Confederation agreed to hold a friendly match of its national team against Russia. This was reported by the portal Band.com.br, which published the correspondence of the Brazilian Confederation with the Russian Football Union.
According to the source, the Brazilians agreed to come to Russia in October or November this year.
“We believe that the cooperation between the Brazilian Football Confederation and the Russian Football Union will be fundamental to strengthen ties and further develop the global football ecosystem,” the BCF message states.
This news has already been responded to by former Brazilian national team footballers Walter Casagrande and Ricardo Rocha, who said the following:
“The war has been going on for three years; everyone knows this. Russia has been banned from participating in team sports, no team will play against the Russian team, and they cannot go to Russia to play... This is disrespect for the civilians who are being attacked and killed. This is disrespect for the safety of the Brazilian players themselves,” Casagrande stated.
“Will the players be released by their clubs? Can you imagine that “Real” will release one of its players to play in Russia? Will “Barcelona”, “Flamengo” release their representatives?,” Rocha said.
