The head coach of Zhytomyr’s Polesie, Imad Ashur, summed up yesterday’s home match of his team against Kyiv’s Dynamo (0:0) in the 28th round of the Ukrainian championship.
“We didn’t need to take 2 points away from Dynamo, we needed to earn our 3. And I believe we had a good opportunity for that today. But the opponent clearly didn’t want such a result. Nevertheless, we could have capitalized on the chances that we created.
But I can’t make any claims to my players—I can only thank them for the effort and desire they showed in this match. Yes, we didn’t score, but this isn’t the first such match for us. It’s disappointing. We are missing something. But I’m not sure that this can be complained about in the context of the match against Dynamo. This result definitely gives us the opportunity to focus with a fighting spirit on the next match,” Ashur said in a comment to Polesie’s press service.
