In the center of Zhytomyr, the sale of alcohol was banned during the final match of the Ukrainian Cup, which will take place on Wednesday, May 14. This is reported by the Zhytomyr City Council on its Facebook page.
“In the center of Zhytomyr, the sale of alcohol will be prohibited on the day of the Ukrainian Cup final. According to the decision of the Zhytomyr Regional Defense Council dated May 9, 2025, on May 14 in Zhytomyr, due to the holding of the final match of the Ukrainian Cup in football for the 2024/2025 season, the sale of alcoholic, low-alcohol drinks, wine, and beer (including in glass containers) will be temporarily banned in commercial establishments located in the territory of the Central Stadium of Zhytomyr, as well as on the following streets: Stary Boulevard, Feshchenka-Chopivskyi, Universytetska, Novyi Boulevard, Shlyakhetna, Synelnykivska, Mykhailivska, Lyatoshynskoho, Velyka Berdichivska from buildings No. 12 and No. 15 to buildings No. 30 and No. 35.
The ban will last during the following time intervals:
— 4 hours before the start of the football match;
— during the football match;
— for 2 hours after its conclusion,” it is stated in the message.
