Journalist Serhiy Tyshchenko shared his thoughts regarding the championship of Kyiv’s “Dynamo.”
“1. The weakness of “Shakhtar.” In the current season “Dynamo” played 9 times in a draw. That’s minus 18 points. Such a result would be insufficient if there were at least a version of “Shakhtar” from the 2022/23 season with Ihor Yovichevich. Not to mention more successful versions.
2. The team’s composition. In “Dynamo” there are actually two players for almost every position. Some fully, some not very much. There is depth in the squad. Injuries, dips in form, suspensions are not very scary. Barzhko fell out — Mykhailenko started playing. There were problems with Shaparenko — Pikhalyonok and Rubchynskyi played. Bushchan left — Neshcheret became the main one.
3. Leaders. Yarmolenko and Buialskyi are not just leaders who brought results through their own skills — they also provided experience. No other team in UPL has players with such experience.
4. The coach. I will only put Shovkovskyi in fourth place. I do not see any general development. I do not really understand the ideas that the coach wants to implement. There have been many coaching failures — “Rukh,” “Vorskla,” “Kolos,” even today with “Chornomorets.” “Dynamo” still could not minimally defeat such a “Shakhtar.”
Unfortunately, today’s level of Dynamo is very little even for the Europa League. This is purely an internal achievement,” wrote Tyshchenko on his Telegram channel.
