On May 20, a meeting of fans with players of the national team of Ukraine took place in Kyiv.

During it, about 400 supporters of the blue and yellow team had the opportunity to communicate and ask their questions to midfielders Vladyslav Kabayev, Volodymyr Brazhko, and Ivan Kaliuzhnyi, as well as to forward Vladyslav Vanat.
The meeting took place in a very warm and relaxed atmosphere. Fans of our national team, among whom children and youth clearly prevailed, learned about what sports path Vladyslav Kabayev would choose if he had not become a football player, what achievement of the Ukrainian team Ivan Kaliuzhnyi considers the greatest, and when Vladyslav Vanat and Volodymyr Brazhko debuted for the blue and yellow team Vladyslav Vanat.
Especially amused the players was the question from a young fan asking if they had ever tried to cook borscht. Only Volodymyr Brazhko admitted: “Once I tried, but, to be honest, it didn’t turn out very well...” — and earned applause.
After that, each of the four players of our team identified the author of the best question according to their own version, and four fans received gift packages with figurines of their idols and their autographs.
Next, the meeting transitioned into a quiz for fans, during which they answered questions about the history of the Ukrainian national team. The winners received balls with autographs of the players. Subsequently, the quartet of players selected the symbolic "Lion of the match," i.e., the brightest fan of this event. A special prize was presented to the boy by the mascot of our national team, Leofan.
The event concluded with a photo session of the blue and yellow supporters with the players, which lasted about 45 minutes. Young fans also enriched themselves with bright brochures featuring autographs and photographs of the national team members.
It should be noted that this wonderful event was enjoyed not only by fans but also by the football players of the national team.
Vladyslav Kabayev: “I liked everything very much — especially that there were many people. I didn’t even expect such a number. It’s very pleasant that the meeting was organized at all. I was driving and thought that I hadn’t participated in such events for a long time. Probably not since 2005. But now media are developing very much, so I want to express my gratitude to the organizers and fans for coming. I am always open to such meetings and will agree to participate in them in the future.”
Ivan Kaliuzhnyi: “Everything was organized very well, no questions at all. I think such meetings are very important because they allow young football enthusiasts to feel closer to the national team of Ukraine. The questions were very interesting and fun, as many of them were asked by children. Overall, the event went very positively. Everything was great.”
Volodymyr Brazhko: “I agree with my partners. A warm and friendly atmosphere, lots of children, questions of a more... humorous nature. We communicated, laughed. I want to thank everyone who attended this meeting. May such events continue.”
