Bournemouth, led by Ilya Zabarnyi, has shown interest in Shakhtar midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, reported TEAMtalk journalist Rudy Galetti.
Bournemouth is one of the clubs very interested in the services of the Ukrainian midfielder. Juventus and Napoli have also made strides towards acquiring Sudakov. The former have already made an offer, while the latter had direct contact, but an official proposal has not yet been made.
The problem faced by Bournemouth, Napoli, and Juventus is the price of Sudakov. Shakhtar is asking for 50 million euros for the midfielder—a price that no club has been willing to offer so far. This has become the main obstacle in any negotiations.
For Bournemouth, signing Sudakov for 50 million euros would be a record purchase. The current record signing is Evenilson for 37 million euros (with an additional 10 million euros expected in bonuses).
Before making any concrete steps regarding Sudakov, Bournemouth is expected to finalize some sales. Real Madrid has already signed a contract with Bournemouth central defender Dean Haysen (the transfer fee is around 60 million euros). It is also anticipated that Milos Kerkes will soon move to Liverpool—reports suggest Bournemouth wants to receive 47+ million euros for him.
Only after player sales will Bournemouth consider making an official offer for Sudakov.
