The head coach of Lviv’s Karpaty Vladislav Lupashko shared his expectations for the match of the 30th round of the Ukrainian championship against "Zorya".
"Probably, the key aspects at this stage of the championship are emotions, 100 percent motivation — it needs to be sought always. Indeed, this primarily comes from the coaching staff, but players also need to understand their role in these moments, at these stages of the championship.
I won’t be thinking about the match in Zhytomyr, I absolutely won’t. I will ban the entire staff from saying the score if the players ask what the score is — I will prohibit it. I will ask that the announcer at the stadium does not announce it.
We need to go out and play our game, enjoy this season as it is. I hear that there are many worries before this last match — among fans, supporters of our club. The anxiety is further amplified by the fact that the match will be officiated by Romanov, who was on VAR during the notorious moment with Neves when we played against "Polissya". They say he officiates "Polissya" very often. I do not know about that, but they say he is a very frequent guest there. I do not believe he will do anything scandalous, and I want there to be less anxiety among people.
We understand that this is a football holiday in our city right now — it is probably a city that shows that football in Ukraine is alive, it is attractive, people want to be part of this process. Therefore, I have focused more on this — on the atmosphere, on the game. And that together with the fans, we create some unforgettable event," said Lupashko.
