FC Poltava may not be licensed to participate in the UPL due to stadium issues.
According to the Telegram channel "Biy-bizhi" referring to "TaToTake", the documents submitted by FC Poltava to the UAF indicate the "Vorskla" stadium named after O. Butovskyi as the main arena.
This is allegedly confirmed by a document titled "On the Joint Use of Sports Facilities" from 2005 between FC Vorskla (who is the main tenant of the stadium during wartime) and FC Poltava.
However, there are certain contradictions regarding the contract. "Vorskla" believes that the subject of the contract is the rental of a training field with artificial turf, where FC Poltava trains but does not play. FC Poltava, however, believes that the contract also includes the use of the stadium named after O. Butovskyi.
The UAF reached out to "Vorskla" for permission for FC Poltava to play at the Butovskyi stadium. "Vorskla" stated that the documents provided by FC Poltava are forgeries, as this stadium has never been discussed for joint use. Even if the clubs agree, the stadium would need additional renovations for another team.
The situation is further complicated by the fact that the Butovskyi stadium is a reserve arena for "Metalist 1925", which may potentially be interested in preventing FC Poltava from gaining access to the arena.
The reserve arena for FC Poltava is the "Nika" stadium in Oleksandriia; the local team does not oppose this, but the main stadium is still mandatory according to the regulations.
