Former midfielder of Kyiv “Dynamo” of the Ukraine national team and Kyiv “Dynamo”, Oleksandr Aliyev, responded to a recent statement by veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Oleg Simoroz, who called a lie the words of the ex-footballer about serving in the 129th battalion of the 112th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I want to say regarding that interview given by one supposedly a warrior. Friend, I want to honestly tell you one thing. I saw that you are disabled, that you are without legs, so I don’t want to promote this further.
You perfectly know that I am in the 112th brigade, started in the 129th battalion. And you know perfectly the unit “Phantom”. If you really served in the 129th battalion, then you know well how we were treated and what we did. Do you understand?
I understand that this was a PR move for you, you wanted to promote yourself, you want to promote yourself. But I can wish you one thing — health and, most importantly, peaceful skies above our heads for all of us. So I wish you well and all the best,” Aliyev said in a video address on his Instagram page.
