The midfielder of the Ukrainian national team Artem Bondarenko shared his impressions from the first days in Canada and talked about his expectations for the Canadian Shield tournament.
"Serhiy Stanislavovych called me up for the first time, so I was very happy. Right now, I feel pride and great responsibility. Despite the end of the season, I think any footballer is ready to come to the national team regardless of their psychological or physical state. I am no exception.
To be honest, my body is a bit in shock after the flight. But we have a few days to get back to ourselves. I think everything will be fine. Regarding Canadian football, I know that some stars play for "Toronto", like Francesco Bernardeschi, and I know there is a large Ukrainian diaspora living here. So we are expecting incredible support," said Bondarenko.
