In the June matches of the overseas Canadian Shield tournament, two footballers made their debuts in the Ukrainian national team.
In the match against Canada (2:4), midfielder Mykola Mykhailenko, from Kyiv’s Dynamo, made his debut for the blue and yellows, coming on as a substitute in the 67th minute for Roman Yaremchuk.
And in the game against New Zealand (2:1), defender Oleksandr Martyniuk from Oleksandriya debuted, replacing Bohdan Mykhailychenko in the 66th minute and managed to provide an assist for the winning goal to Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Thus, 13 footballers have made their debuts in the Ukrainian national team under the leadership of Serhiy Rebrov.
