“We are completing our summer camp and participation in the first ‘Canadian Shield’.

First of all, these two matches in the tournament helped us attract and provide playing practice to a large number of players, as well as continue gathering important experience together before the start of the autumn qualification for the World Cup.

During our stay in Toronto, I find all initiatives organized and implemented thanks to UAF to bring part of Ukrainian football and players closer to the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada very useful, which is also important.

I thank all the players who, after a long season that was very busy for many in terms of the number of matches and long travels, took part in this gathering.

Yesterday they also reminded the world of the daily sufferings of the Ukrainian people from shelling and attacks on civilians by Russia, against the backdrop of a massive attack on Kyiv the night before yesterday’s game.

Unfortunately, even after more than three years since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the inhumanity and cruelty of the aggressor towards our people does not diminish, as does the need to highlight this to the entire football community,” wrote Rebrov on his Instagram page.
