Real signs 17-year-old midfielder

River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono has moved to Madrid's Real, the official website of the Spanish club reports.

The 17-year-old Argentine signed a contract for six seasons - until June 30, 2031. He will join the team in mid-August. According to available information, the "whites" will pay 45 million euros for the player.

Mastantuono is a product of the Argentine club. He played 61 matches for River Plate, scored ten goals, and provided seven assists. On June 6, the midfielder made his debut for the Argentina national team in a match against Chile (1:0) in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup, becoming the youngest debutant in the history of the national team.
