FIFA has resorted to urgent measures due to concerns about poor ticket sales for the matches of the Club World Cup 2025, which will take place in the USA from June 14 to July 13.
To create the illusion of high stadium occupancy, the International Football Federation decided to change seating arrangements for fans, reports the Daily Mail. The goal of such actions is to place fans closer to the TV cameras, creating an effect of high attendance for viewers at home, making empty sections of the arena less visible.
According to the publication, some of those who purchased tickets for the tournament have already discovered that their seats have been changed. At the same time, it is noted that no fans will end up in seats that cost less than those they initially bought.
Meanwhile, sources within FIFA emphasize that such actions are common practice at major sporting events, contributing to a festive atmosphere for the occasion.
We remind you that the Club World Cup 2025 kicked off with the match between "Inter Miami" and "Al-Ahly," which ended in a goalless draw.
