Maxim Bragaru: "We will somehow close the position of Bražko..."

The midfielder of Kyiv’s "Dynamo" Maxim Bragaru commented on the victory of the Ukrainian U-21 national team over Finland (2:0) in the second match of Euro-2025 U-21.

• About the atmosphere on the field and the difficulty of the game:

— A very important victory for us. The first half was fully under our control. We went out in the second half, scored the second goal — and then we sat back, playing for the result. Not a very good half, but the main thing is that we won.

• About scoring in the second match in a row:

— I just go out and do my job. I go out for every match to prove and show my level.

• What the coach said at halftime:

— He said that we should not lose concentration, not ease up and go for the second goal. It happened that we scored the second goal and played according to the score.

• About five yellow cards and the expulsion of Volodymyr Bražko:

— I won’t comment, let them sort it out there. Of course, losing Bražko is a big loss — he is the leader of the team and our captain. But what can we do, it’s football. We will somehow close the position, we have very quality players who can replace him.

— We talked with my wife and dreamed that when I score a goal, I would celebrate like that. In the first match, I was overwhelmed with emotions — I forgot. But in this match, I already did it. I am very glad that such a moment happened.
