Forward of the Netherlands team: "I still believe very much in our team"

Forward of the Netherlands youth team Noah Ohio successfully completed the qualifying stage, scoring seven goals, but in Slovakia, he was less fortunate — in the matches against Finland and Denmark, he made nine shots on target but did not score.

— If I had realized my chances, I would have stood in front of the cameras after the match and received all the praise. So I think it’s right that when I don’t realize these chances, I also have to come in front of the cameras and acknowledge that I have to play better. That’s part of me as a personality. It was very difficult.

After the game against Denmark, there was perhaps the hardest night in a long time. I couldn’t sleep. I kept replaying in my head everything that happened during the match. I also felt disappointment because I really want to repay the coach for the trust he has shown me.

If we advance further — anything is possible. Many teams before us started the tournament poorly, but then shone in the playoffs. And that’s what ultimately matters. I still believe very much in our team, but on Wednesday we really need to show what we are capable of, — quotes the forward VI.nl.
