Kevin De Bruyne wants Napoli to sign his former Manchester City teammate Jack Grealish this summer.
Grealish’s situation has reached a critical point this month, as he was not included in City’s squad for the Club World Cup, and head coach Josep Guardiola reportedly told him to look for a new team. According to The Sun, City legend De Bruyne, who joined the reigning champions of Italy this month, wants to play with Grealish again.
It is reported that Napoli’s new head coach Antonio Conte inquired about the player from De Bruyne in anticipation of a potential transfer. City is open to considering a loan if they do not find a club willing to buy Grealish, who has two years left on his contract with a salary of £300,000 per week.
In addition to Napoli, among the contenders for the former England international are Everton. Grealish urgently needs consistent playing time to have a chance to make it to Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the World Cup.
