The issue of the doping scandal involving Ukrainian legionnaire of London’s Chelsea Mykhailo Mudryk is now concerning not only representatives of this English club and its fans, but also the coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team and the entire football community of our country. One of those who did not remain indifferent to the unfortunate turn of fate for the 24-year-old footballer is well-known expert and agent Vyacheslav Zakhovailo.
In a comment to Sport.ua, he shared his thoughts on what may await our compatriot in the event of official confirmation of a positive test result.
“This is a very difficult question. The information is closed, and for ethical reasons, I cannot talk about it. Personally, I tend to think that there has been a total misunderstanding. I will not engage in conspiracy theories. As a rule, with a positive test, the verdict is grim. It’s four years of disqualification. But if the lawyers are clever, they might manage to shorten the disqualification period. There are chances, but they are not that many,” Zakhovailo said.
