While Kyiv’s “Dynamo” started preparations for the new season last Monday and yesterday left for a training camp in Austria, for the forward of the “white-blues” Eduardo Guerrero, the summer vacation has just begun.
The thing is, immediately after the end of last season in Ukraine, the 25-year-old Panamanian went into the national team camp, which played a total of six matches in June: two as part of the World Cup 2026 qualifying cycle and four as part of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Yesterday, the Panama national team played a quarter-final match of the CONCACAF Gold Cup against Honduras, lost on penalties (1:1, pen. — 4:5) and thus completed their participation in the tournament. Guerrero came on as a substitute in the 74th minute of the match, did not register any goal contributions, and also failed to convert his penalty in the post-match shootout.
Thus, only now will Guerrero get a chance to rest (usually, in such situations, the vacation lasts 10-14 days), after which he will join “Dynamo” during the preparations for the season.
It is worth noting that Guerrero participated in five of the six June matches of the Panama national team, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
