“Once there were very few Ukrainian legionnaires, just a handful. It seemed almost impossible — a different language, a different culture, different requirements. Everyone who broke free went into the unknown.

Now there are more and more Ukrainian players abroad. And importantly — they go onto the field not with caution but with confidence. It’s a different mentality. Bolder. Yes, even in the most successful legions, there is a feeling: you are one of many. At home — you are one of your own. And this is not about status, but about connection. The one that does not break with a plane ticket.

The youth are different — faster, more confident, with a natural sense that the world is open. They adapt better because they see their own nearby. And that is their strength: to be themselves in a new environment — not closing up, but growing.

One could talk for a long time about the difference between “then” and “now”. But the main thing is that the Ukrainians are top performers, and I hope that our names will be increasingly recognized in the big world of football,” wrote Sydorchuk.
