Midfielder “Dynamo” Vladimir Brazhko talked about his work at the training camp in Austria, the specifics of the training sessions, and shared his impressions from the friendly matches.
Vladimir Brazhko (photo: fcdynamo.com)— The mood is good, I feel well, and with each passing day we are getting in better shape. I am satisfied because the training sessions are interesting, there is strength work, which is very good to prepare for the new season and the Champions League qualifiers.
— There were many competitive drills at today’s training, you played mini tournaments, is it more interesting to train in this mode?
— The coaching staff combines strength, tactical, and game series, there is balance in the training sessions. Of course, it is interesting, as there is a competitive spirit. The tournament among three or four teams is very exciting, there is always intrigue (smiles).
— Do you keep track of which team wins most often?
— The team compositions change constantly and are shuffled, so it’s different every time. But everyone wants to win, not just in training but also in the game.
— You have two friendly matches behind you with good opponents, what do you remember about them, what conclusions did you draw?
— Against the backdrop of such teams, it is interesting to showcase yourself, to test your abilities both individually and as a team. In such matches, both good actions and shortcomings are clearly visible, they provide information on which components need improvement.
— Can you compare the strength of the sparring partners at the camp with the teams you will face in the Champions League qualifiers?
— I think both “Midtjylland” and “West Bromwich” are strong teams with good tactics and game schemes. It was interesting to play against the English, who have a more physical playing style, but they also run a lot. “Midtjylland” is a more tactical team, they pressed well and conducted quick attacks and counterattacks. As for comparing with the Champions League qualifiers, it is still hard to say since we do not know our opponent yet. Once it is determined, we will analyze it. I think the level of teams will also be very respectable there.
— Your group of youth national team players joined the team later. Have you already reached the required training level to work in the general group?
— I think so, as we missed not much — only had a 10-day break, which is less than the main part of the team. We have already played 60 and 30 minutes, I think each of us feels good, at least I do — for sure and I am ready to continue working.
