As already reported, the graduate of Kyiv’s Dynamo, midfielder Alexander Petrusenko has become a player for Croatian club "Osijek". He signed a three-year contract with this club and commented on the new chapter in his career.
"I had several options, but I chose “Osijek”. I see and feel that I can achieve a lot here together with the team. The club has everything necessary for us all to become better players.
By the way, I really love Croatia and I feel at home here. For me, this is the best option. I am glad to be here, and let’s get to work! I know what is expected here, and I am ready for it.
The decision to leave “Antalyaspor”? I no longer saw any prospects there. Nevertheless, it was a very good experience playing in a strong Turkish league, against great players and teams. Football there is very dynamic; everyone plays at the limit of their abilities, and it is not easy to find your place and adapt.
The last two months I have been training individually, and at first, I might not be able to give 100%, but soon the moment will come when I am in optimal shape.
I like to work a lot on the pitch and run, both with and without the ball. I will definitely give my all at “Osijek,” everything I know and can do. I am a natural "six" on the pitch, but I can also be an "eight." Once I played as a central defender in Turkey, as well as in Ukraine in several matches. I received great training at "Dynamo," and many players of my generation play at major European clubs," Petrusenko said, as reported by the official Osijek website.
