Former national team forward of Ukraine Ivan Hetzko shared his impressions of yesterday's Champions League qualifying match “Dynamo” — “Hamrun”, in which the Kyiv team once again achieved a resounding victory — 3:0:
“Those experts who claimed that after a convincing victory away the Dynamo players would not perform with full effort in the return match, would take it easy in confrontations and save their energy for the upcoming UPL championship match against ‘Veres’, which will take place on August 2, were mistaken.
We should give credit to the coach of the Kyiv team, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, who prepared his players as if this confrontation had a lot at stake. The Kyivans moved a lot, were focused on offensive operations, and combined effectively. Ultimately, their level of preparation left no doubt about who was in control on the field in Lublin.
What was disappointing? The excessive anxiety of some Dynamo players, in particular, Vladyslav Kabayev and Nazar Voloshin, which led to unfortunate mistakes. And these are players with considerable international experience. It’s time to grow up.”
