Famous Ukrainian goalkeeper Igor Shukhovtsev shared his impressions of the return match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League between Kyiv’s Dynamo and Hamrun Spartans (3:0). Recall that based on the results of the two matches (3:0, 3:0), the Ukrainian team advanced to the next round of the tournament.
— Was the outcome of the second match as expected for you?
— Yes. After the first game in Malta, Dynamo had complete dominance over the opponent — in both tactical and physical aspects. The same was evident in the second match. Therefore, personally for me, there were no other expectations except for the same advantage of the Dynamo players over Hamrun Spartans. That’s exactly what happened.
— Which players of Dynamo pleased you, and who disappointed? Are there any?
— I cannot say that anyone disappointed. This is because, in both the first and second matches, Dynamo’s team actions were at a good level, plus the score allowed each player of the Kyiv team to showcase their individual skills. And each player, playing according to the score, did so freely and effortlessly. Therefore, the factors I mentioned for Dynamo were at a high level.
— Do you think the new appearance of Vladyslav Supryaha in Dynamo is another chance for the player from the coaching staff?
— Exactly. The guy must try to become a good and stable footballer. He has the potential; now the main thing is to realize it fully.
