Former Shakhtar forward Andriy Vorobei expressed the opinion that the midfielder of the “miners” Heorhii Sudakov will not transfer to another team this summer.
“It seems to me that Sudakov is a bit struggling morally due to all the hype around him and the transfer talks. There is a lot written and said about him in the media, he is under some pressure. He is probably going through it. He needs to be given some peace so that he can finally find his game and continue to develop. Unfortunately, he is far from his optimal form.”
“I wanted Sudakov to be sold a year ago when Italian Napoli was interested in him. He should have been sold at his peak, not now. They have kept him a bit too long, in my opinion. Those clubs that are genuinely interested in Sudakov, their scouts are watching Shakhtar’s games. They are observing him now, not recalling how he was a season ago, and starting to have doubts.”
“I would really like Sudakov to move to Europe, for him to grow and find his team, so to speak. But this summer, I don’t think he will move anywhere...” — said Vorobei.
