Assistant head coach of Kolos Oleg Shelaev told UPL TV that the team’s legionnaires came under fire the day before the match against Kryvbas:
— We opened this season with a home game, so it was very important to win. Our legionnaires came under fire in Kyiv. They are in a very depressed state. Five of them were under this pressure from the blasts. A day has passed and Nika Hagnidze coped a bit better. But Albin Krasnich and Rapai had it a bit harder, they were under the influence. Telez handled it better, Albin had a tougher time. When he arrived, he was told that everything was fine. And he felt it all.
They are sharing among themselves, talking, but not everyone was able to come to the game in such a calm state. Rapai always smiles, but on game day I didn’t see that; they didn’t even talk. During the warm-up before the game, they couldn’t communicate. We always demand emotions, but they didn’t cue each other, didn’t celebrate goals, didn’t get upset when losing the ball, so the feeling was uneasy before the game.
When they returned to the base, they gathered to talk, but they were silent, just silent. After the game, of course, they were tired, but they were silent, and there was no joy from the victory that we always felt. They were empty.
