Newcastle has announced on its official website the transfer of Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on a loan basis.
The 27-year-old player joined the Magpies on a loan deal that includes an option to buy. At Newcastle, Ramsdale will work under Eddie Howe, his former coach at Bournemouth.
After being relegated to the Championship, Southampton lost the ability to pay the English goalkeeper £100,000 per week, which they paid last summer for £27 million.
