Today’s date has brought the world several well-known individuals who are closely associated with football:

Yuriy Moroz

Yuriy Moroz (1970) — former Ukrainian footballer who played as a defender. After finishing his playing career, he took up coaching. He is most known for his time with Kyiv’s “Dynamo” and his work as the coach of the Ukrainian youth national team. Honored Coach of Ukraine. He led the “Dynamo” U-19, U-21 teams, Odesa’s “Chornomorets”, and the Ukrainian U-17 national team.

Taras Stepanenko (1989) — former midfielder of Donetsk’s “Shakhtar” and the Ukraine national team. A graduate of Zaporizhzhia’s “Torpedo” (SDYUSHOR Cosmos). He played for Zaporizhzhia’s “Metallurh” since 2006. He made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on March 4, 2007, in an away match against Kyiv’s “Dynamo”. He joined “Shakhtar” in 2010. Currently, he plays for Turkish club “Eyüpspor”.

Louis van Gaal (1951) — former Dutch footballer who played as a midfielder. After ending his playing career, van Gaal turned to coaching. Louis Saha (1978) — former French footballer who played as a forward. He spent most of his career in England, where he played for clubs such as “Newcastle”, “Fulham”, “Manchester United”, “Everton”, and “Tottenham”. A two-time English champion. Winner of the Champions League in the 2007/08 season. He made 20 appearances for the French national team, scoring 4 goals.
