On Friday, August 8, in the match of the 2nd round of the Ukrainian championship, Kyiv’s Dynamo defeated Lviv’s Rukh with a score of 5:1. The match took place in Lviv at the “Ukraine” stadium. Here is the post-match press conference of the home team’s head coach Ivan Fedyk.
— We scored the first three goals ourselves. Unclear actions, unclear decisions. We will analyze it. It is difficult to comment further on such a game.
— Why did the team make such obvious mistakes?
— We need to watch the video. But, I repeat, even visually it was clear that we scored the first three goals ourselves. After that, it was, of course, difficult. Plus, Dynamo made strong substitutions, fresh players came on, and it became even harder for us.
But we wanted to make a comeback; we set that goal for ourselves. That’s why we started pressing the opponents high. There was, of course, a risk in that, and today it turned out to be unjustified.
