Today’s date has gifted the world several well-known individuals who have closely tied their lives to football:
Andrey Biba (1937) — a former football player who played as a midfielder. Throughout his career, he represented three clubs: Kyiv’s “Dynamo”, Dnipro’s “Dnipro”, and Chernihiv’s “Desna”. A three-time champion and a two-time winner of the USSR Cup as part of the Kyiv team. He played 1 match for the Soviet national team. After retiring from playing, Biba engaged in coaching. Andrey Andreevich was part of the coaching staffs of Kyiv’s “Dynamo”, Simferopol’s “Tavria”, “Dnipro”, and later headed numerous Ukrainian clubs.
Valentin Morgun (2001) — a Ukrainian goalkeeper, trained in the academies of Kharkiv’s “Metalist” and Kyiv’s “Dynamo”. Played for both teams in the Ukrainian Youth Football League (DYFL). He was recognized as the best goalkeeper in the U-16 championship of Ukraine as part of “Dynamo” in the 2016/17 season. He has participated in youth national teams of Ukraine across various age groups. Currently, he is the goalkeeper for the first team of “Dynamo”.
Roy Keane (1971) — a former Irish footballer who played as a midfielder. He is best known for his time at “Manchester United”, where he served as team captain for many years. A seven-time champion and a four-time FA Cup winner. Currently engaged in coaching. Roy was also the captain of the Irish national team, playing 67 matches and scoring 9 goals. After his playing career, Keane managed “Sunderland” and “Ipswich Town”.
Javier Zanetti (1973) — a former Argentine footballer who played as a full-back for Milan’s “Inter”. From 1995 until the end of the 2015/2016 season, he represented the “Nerazzurri”, where he was the team captain and holds the record for the most matches played in the “blue-black” shirt. A five-time champion and a four-time Coppa Italia winner. Winner of the Champions League in the 2009/10 season. He has played 145 matches for the Argentine national team, scoring 5 goals. Currently, Zanetti serves as the vice president of “Inter”.
