Yozhef Sabo: "It will be difficult for Dynamo to beat the Cypriots"

Former player and head coach of Dynamo Yozhef Sabo shared his expectations from the second match of Kyiv against Paphos.

In your comment about the first game, you said: it's good that the Cypriots didn't score another two or three goals. Isn't this a chance for Dynamo to improve the situation with less effort?

— That won't happen. This team can't. As they say, a born crawler cannot fly. When Dynamo had opponents like the bakery team and something similar, it was different. There is no speed, the ball is in place—oh, wow, class! But here is a relatively serious opponent—and everything shows. After all, the players of Paphos have managed to play somewhere, and their actions show that they are technically skilled, and so is their coach. They completely outplayed Dynamo. Completely. We had very few real chances throughout the game. Well, Brazhko struck, yes. If he had hit the target, maybe he would have scored. And Vanat also headed the ball, and Dubinchak hit the crossbar—and that's it. Although Dubinchak should have passed the ball to the right instead of shooting himself.

How do you think the return game will unfold for Dynamo?

— Nothing will happen, I will say this in advance. Our team will not win against the Cypriots. Tell me: on what basis can Dynamo win with such a performance? I personally don't see it. I respect Yarmolenko, who had a moment in the first match when he moved inside and shot at the goal. He could have scored, but… I didn't see anything else productive in his actions. We need a player like Luzhny was in my team—both at Dynamo and in the national team of Ukraine. He drove everyone on the field. And what about Buyalskyi and Pykhalionok? It's the same thing. They are free artists, and the Cypriots didn't let them do anything. What else can be said?
