Midfielder of Kyiv "Dynamo" Mykola Mykhailenko commented on yesterday’s match of his team against "Epitsentr" (4:1) in the 3rd round of the Ukrainian championship, where he scored a goal and provided an assist.
— The main thing is that we managed to earn three points. And I am happy that I was able to help the team win today.
— "Epitsentr" is a new team, a debutant of the Premier League. What do you think about them? What was your opinion when you analyzed this team?
— Yes, we saw that it’s a well-organized team, although they are newcomers. But you can really see that they are organized. A good team overall.
— You managed to score early in the match. Did the quick goal influence the subsequent events on the field?
— Indeed, it gave us confidence. And, as you saw, there were actually many good moments afterwards. So, if we had managed to score a second goal right away, I think it would have been much easier. But it turned out that we conceded. Fortunately, we managed to score again later.
— You assisted Guerrero and then scored yourself. It was a productive match for you plus a team victory. So you must be satisfied, feeling good?
— Well yes, today, I think I can be satisfied. But, as you know, everything goes in a package. Today I scored and assisted, tomorrow it will be someone else. The main thing is that the team won. And we all live with one goal.
— Guerrero scored the first goal for "Dynamo" in the Ukrainian championship. Did you congratulate him in any way?
— Well yes, of course, we are very happy that he scored, because it’s very important for a forward. And he really wanted this. In the last matches, he was really trying hard. We congratulate him and are very happy for him.
— When "Epitsentr" scored and equalized the score, were there any doubts or maybe uncertainty?
— No, there was none. It was just a moment where we played a bit carelessly, which led to the goal. But, basically, I personally was sure that we could score again.
— Tell us about your goal, how did you manage to score?
— Nothing special, just a good cross right into the zone where no one reached the ball. And I just had to cover the far post, which I did.
— What are your plans now? Will you be going to Poland again?
— Now we will be going to Lviv, and beyond that, I still don’t know. But most likely, we will be preparing for "Maccabi".
