“Tottenham” beat “Burnley” at home in the 1st round of the English championship – 3:0.
In the 4th minute, the visiting goalkeeper Martin Dubravka intercepted the ball after a cross into the penalty area. The goalkeeper held it for more than eight seconds, and the referee of the match, Michael Oliver, awarded a corner at the “Burnley” goal. This is the first case of applying this rule in the EPL.
As a reminder, on August 7, the goalkeeper transferred to “Burnley” as a free agent.
