The Ukrainian Premier League summarized the results of the 3rd round of the Ukrainian championship for the 2025/2026 season, the matches of which took place last weekend.
The selection of the best players took place traditionally through a survey of representatives from Ukrainian sports publications. Each respondent named their top three candidates for the title of coach of the round, the top five candidates for the title of player of the round, and also formed their version of the symbolic team of the round.
The best coach of the 3rd round, by collective decision of a group of 39 experts, was recognized as Vitaliy Ponomaryov (his LNZ won away against Polissia 2:0). The top three ranking also included Patrick van Leeuwen (who led Kryvbas to victory over his former club Zorya 3:2) and Mladen Bartulović, who with Metalist 1925 defeated the vice-champion of last season, Oleksandriya, on their home ground (4:1).
The title of the best player of the 3rd round was awarded to the attacking midfielder of Kryvbas, Maksym Zaderaka, who scored two goals against Zorya. The top five rankings also included joker Ramiq Hadzhiev from Metalist 1925, Zorya forward Pylyp Budkivskyi, central midfielder of Metalist 1925 Ivan Kalyuzhnyi (who shared 3rd-4th places in the ranking, scoring the same number of points), and central midfielder of Dynamo Mykola Mykhailenko, who narrowly edged out goalkeeper Oleksandr Kemkin from Kryvbas.
The team of the 3rd round looks as follows: Kemkin (Kryvbas), Sukhanov (Obolon), Muravskyi (LNZ), Shapoval (Kudrivka), Lyakh (Rukh), Mykhailenko (Dynamo), Zaderaka (Kryvbas), Kalyuzhnyi (Metalist 1925), Hadzhiev (Metalist 1925), Rashytsia (Metalist 1925), Budkivskyi (Zorya).
