Analyst of "Polissya" Yevhen Hres talked about his conversation with the chief referee Aliyar Agaev after the first match of the qualifying play-off of the Conference League against "Fiorentina" (0:3).
The conversation concerned an episode with midfielder Oleksandr Nazarenko falling in the penalty area of "Fiorentina," but no foul was recorded, and in the counter-attack, "Polissya" conceded the second goal.
“After the match, I approached the referee and told him a story about how next to the house of the player who was pushed in the back, a Russian rocket fell. In Dnipro. And then I asked him how he could work in a match of the team of these mutants. He remained silent and walked away... We lost not because of the referee, but should someone do something about this?,” Hres wrote on his Instagram page.
Additionally, it should be noted that the chief referee of the match Aliyar Agaev, as well as his assistants on the lines, worked in June this year at a meeting between the national teams of Russia and Nigeria in Moscow.
