Italian defender Alessandro Florenzi has decided to hang up his boots. The 33-year-old player officially announced his retirement from professional football after over 15 years in the game.
Florenzi is a product of Roma, for whom he played over 200 matches. He also represented Milan, Valencia, and Paris Saint-Germain. As part of the Italian national team, the defender became the European champion in 2020.
After retiring, Florenzi plans to stay in football, considering opportunities to work in coaching or management.
